The two day HABC Level 3 Award in Effective Auditing and Inspection course is aimed at supervisors, team leaders and managers across the food industry, who may be involved in practical auditing or inspection of food premises. This includes internal or third party auditors, enforcement officers and people responsible for verifying HACCP, with the main emphasis of the qualification being on practical inspection and audit skills in the workplace.

Successful candidates will understand, and be able to apply knowledge relating to, the role of the auditor in carrying out effective audits/inspections, including their purpose, benefits and limitations, the audit/inspection cycle, data gathering, analysis, interpretation and reports.

The inspection process: audit/inspection cycle; equipment; data collection; observation techniques; questions; terminology; evidence; closing meetings; inspection failure & remedial action.
